A concern for the Robsons' position in the Wilbur-Gurney controversy who support Joseph John Gurney and that his deceptive powers of influence may delude honest minds. Asks how Gould likes the documents from Rhode Island and the attacks on their principles, and a fear that it may be seen as abandonment of the Quaker testimony against slavery. Wonders why ministers and elders can spread their objections among young people, but the latter may not say such things to ministers and elders. Will be traveling to New York and Philadelphia.
